Holy shitballs.
Today I have done about four practice exams for various subjects and I am nowhere near ready for the real things.
I spose that's ok coz I've got about ten days till the first one.

I've been quite productive today (not nearly as much as I need to have been but oh well) and I haven't watched a single minute of car racing, despite that fact that I've set up my temporary work station directly in front of the enormous telly (which I've only had on for 40 minutes BTW).

Anyway, talipuu  dear, Happy Birthday for the other day! I have started your Birthday Kradman graphics but I have no idea at this stage when I'll be able to finish them. Could be tomorrow, could be in two weeks. HOPEFULLY SOON THOUGH!

Oh! Also, comedy thing was good. Funny, as you would expect. I wore tall shoes and didn't hurt myself. It's an achievement for an uncoordinated short-ass like myself.

Tomorrow I have to get up at like 5.00am so that I can be on the bus at 6.30am to be at revision lectures in the city at 9.30am. Joy. I'm looking forward to the lectures but having to drive two hours to get there is a waste of valuble study time. Sure I'll take some work with me on the bus but, let's be honest here, how much of it am I actually going to get done?

Have I mentioned that like, 17 people from my town were on that cruise with swin flue?
If I get swine flu right before exams I will stab someone.

Quick update on my life;

01. I think I'm coming down with something. It's like nausea + phlegm + coughing + shaking + fatigue + weakness, all rolled into one big ball of sick. Not to mention my back and shoulders are fucked from all the books I'm carrying around all the time.
02. I have exams in just under two weeks now. My first one is one the 9th of June and my last one is on the 11th. That's 4 exams in 3 days. Yay.
03. I'm going to the city on Sunday for revision lectures. They should be good I think.
04. My phone should be here soon. It's a Sony Ericsson Xperia. It was posted yesterday.
05. I'm going to the Comedy Festival Roadshow tonight. Should be good.

In short I'm quite busy at the moment so I probably won't be posting any icons anytime soon. 

So, the weather today is beyond horrendous. It's all windy and dusty and I think it might rain. The sky is all grey/brown with dust.
It's lovely.

I have to go to school this afternoon (in the holidays! I know!) because we're doing extra chem lessons to make sure we're up to date and so on and so forth.

I have a lot of homework that I haven't done yet. Ooops.

Anyway, last night (I nearly wrote yestnight. IDEK) I was watching the end of The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (oh hai, long enough title?) and I discovered that I kind of love Casey Affleck a little bit. I like his voice. IDEK why, it's just...yes. Even despite the general high-pitched-ness. But there was an ad for Gone Baby Gone (I still have no idea what that's about) on after and it had a snippet of the Red Space interview and oh my lawd did he sound sexy!

....Weird teeth though. I dunno if I can handle that.

Yeah....I'm really just procrastinating. Can you tell?

You know what I hate? I hate it when you find these images that are just so magnificently, unjustifiably iconable and you can't use them because they're covered by an enormous watermark and have "COPYRIGHT. DO NOT USE FOR ANYTHING. EVER." written all over the bottom. It makes me want to weep tears of (pretentious) artistic agony.

Seriously though, I found the most amazing V8 supercar images today. And I mean amazing. The colours are beyond perfect, the angles are just spot on and everything's just so crisp and clear and perfect. OMG I'M JUST SO FRUSTRATED! I'm just torturing myself by continuing to look through the galleries. Argh.

I'm waiting for Dollhouse to finish dling.

And I can't be bothered doing homework.

Speaking of, I watched Omagh the other day. BORINGEST MOVIE EVER OK! Gah. I wanted to stop watching it but I have to for English. School. God.

ETA: OH MY GOD! So these watermarks, they aren't just watermarks right, they're watermarks and then a grey,  semi-transparent border type thing with writing on it at the top and bottom of the image. Anyway, just for the sake of it I tried to remove the watermark and borders and I'm actually amazed at how FUCKING AWESOME I am at removing watermarks. I know that sound like, arrogant but I really did not expect it to turn out so well. Usually it's so easy to completely fuck the image up when using the clone tool...Sorry...I'm just really amazed.

I might post a before and after tomorrow. Now I'm going to bed.

This morning I woke up and realised holyshitit'sthursday which means it's nearly the end of the week which means I've wasted nearly half of my two weeks of holidays.

So today its work work work!

I started re-reading Arthur Miller's The Crucible again today as that is the book we're studying this term. I also need to watch Omagh at least twice because we're studying that as well.

Other than English, I'm also thinking I'll finish some Accounting (except for that case study which WILL NOT BALANCE) and then move on to Chemistry. I actually like Chem so that should be good.

If I have some spare time I think I'll watch some eps of Rush. I used to watch it but then I stopped watching so now I'm catching up.

Well that was kind of a boring post but I don't really care so...mmm.

ETA: Also, the other day I noticed that Lee Holdsworth is all kinds of adorable...or at least, you know, from some angles.I think it's the eyes. They're all shiny and brown. You can't really see in this shrunken picture but there's just something in his eyes that makes me swoon a little bit. Too bad he drives a Holden.

Computers hate me today.
My computer is dead. Well and truly. We tried turining it on and off, many, many, many times. We tried reinstalling Windows. Twice. It is very unhappy. Some kind of disk file corruption business. I just want to use photoshop dammit! I swear if I lose anything off that computer...I feel like Topher from Dollhouse, "my chair!"...

So I tried using the laptop. The power went out and the wireless died and still wouldn't work even after it reconnected. Something about the wrong IP address. I know how to fix that so I tried to fix it like four times but it didn't work. I gave up on the laptop.

Now I'm using my mum's computer. The screen is blurry and the keyboard is dusty and the fan in my sister's computer is SO GODDAMN ANNOYING I SWEAR TO GOD! The keyboard is newer than mine though so the keys aren't as sticky...that's a good thing I guess.

So, so, so close to being finished.
I have about 750 words, a little over 4 minutes of talking.
I only have to write my rebuttal and conclusion (which should add at least a minute), finish the slideshow and copy & paste it all into cue cards.

I got distracted and started playing with my hair. I'm trying to decide whether to wear it up or down.
My teacher says girls should wear their hair up so that they don't play with it during their presentation. Also, wearing it up and wearing my glasses will make me look all professional and credible.....I really can't be bothered writing the rest of this speech.

The thing is I have to finish it tonight because I don't have any spares before English tomorrow *sigh*.
 
Wow, my timetable is so battered it looks like it might disintegrate in my hand. I'm going to type it up then finish my presentation.

I have written a (long) introduction and made three corresponding slides.

I have watched episode 6 of Dollhouse.

I have updated my scrapbook.

I have downloaded Watchmen.

I have listened to Commentary! and the Dr. Horrible soundtrack twice each.

I have not finished my presentation.

I am going to die.

I am going to hang out the washing then watch Watchmen.

ETA1: I just found out that they've make a movie of that kids book Where the Wild Things Are and I don't really know what to make of that...tbh.

ETA2: Watchmen is a terrible quality cam-job with out of sync sound. I guess I'm just going to have to work on my presentation. Argh.

Argh. Life. I'm so exhausted atm but there's only one week of term left so I get a break soon.

I'm pretty much in the wars right now (man, I haven't said that in ages), the other day I stood up and half rolled my ankle, I think I pulled something in my foot so that hurts. And yesterday I pulled a drawer out too far and it landed on my hand and took a big chunk of skin out of my knuckle.

I'm procrastinating.
I have an oral presentation on Monday for English and I haven't even started yet. This could be a record for putting it off...for me anyway. I really just can't be bothered doing it though. Only I have to because this is year 12 and that oral makes up 50% of my mark of Using Language to Persuade. Dammit.

I really need to do some kind of "gettingto know you" meme because there's all these people on my flist who I just don't talk to...I might do that during the hols.

I want to watch some HIMYM.
